About
About Neil McGuigan
Personal trainer with 18 years of coaching behind me and a background representing Ireland in international athletics, working with men and women over 40 across UNTIL Soho, Marylebone, Liverpool Street, and Canary Wharf.
Who I am
I am Neil McGuigan, the personal trainer behind NMG Fitness. I have spent 18 years coaching, after founding the practice around 2008, and I work almost entirely with men and women between 40 and 65. The first session is always free, because I would rather you decide we fit after training together than after a sales pitch.
My background
Before I coached, I represented Ireland internationally as a high jumper. The transition from competing to coaching was deliberate. I wanted to bring the same standard of preparation and progression that high-level athletics demands into the way ordinary clients train day to day, week after week, across the 18 years I have been doing this.
How I approach training over 40
Most of the people I work with are between 40 and 65, and that is the population I have built the practice around. Training in your 40s and 50s is a different set of constraints than training in your 20s. Recovery is slower, joints carry more history, and the goal is durability across decades rather than peaks in a single season. The programming reflects that.
What I help with
Strength, mobility, conditioning, and lifestyle guidance integrated into one plan you can hold for years, not weeks. I coach across four UNTIL sites in central London — Soho, Marylebone, Liverpool Street, and Canary Wharf — in 1-2-1, small-group, strength-and-conditioning, and online formats.
